The Valdai Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Northwest District Scientific and Clinical Center named after L. G. Sokolov of the FMBA of Russia is a modern hospital for residents of the Novgorod region. It was built as part of the federal target program for providing emergency medical care to victims of road accidents.
The Valdai Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Northwestern District Scientific and Clinical Center named after L. G. Sokolov of the FMBA of Russia (Valdai MMC) appeared as a result of the merger in 2023 into a single institution of Branch No. 1 of the Northwestern District Scientific and Clinical Center named after L. G. Sokolov and the Valdai Central District Hospital.
The MMC is important for residents of the Novgorod region, as it is designed to solve the problem of providing emergency medical care to victims of road accidents in the region and make innovative medical technologies available. The center provides emergency inpatient and outpatient care around the clock. The hospital has 143 beds.
The center is equipped with modern computer and magnetic resonance imaging complexes, ultrasound and functional diagnostics rooms, endoscopy, and a clinical laboratory.
The center includes a high—tech operating unit with an integrated MVS operating system. All types of laparoscopic surgeries, as well as open surgeries, are performed in the MVS General Surgical operating room.
The MVS digital operating system includes:
- video recording of the operation for all connected sources;
- central video archive of operations;
- videoconferencing from the operating room;
- MVS Hospital Platform software for support and optimization of operational unit workflows.
