On February 3, 2024, Vladimir Putin opened the republican cancer center in Yakutsk, Sakha Republic. The new cancer center will feature 6 MVS Smart Operating Rooms and it is planned to carry out up to 4 thousand operations per year.
The opening ceremony was held via videoconference, where the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev and the chief physician of the republican oncological dispensary Tatyana Nikolaeva were in touch with the President of Russia from the MVS Smart Operating Room of the Yakut cancer center.
Vladimir Vladimirovich congratulated all Yakut residents on this long-awaited event and noted that this is another step towards increasing the availability and effectiveness of treatment for oncological diseases, which means saving the lives and health of citizens.
It is noteworthy that during the videoconference with Yakutia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was in the operating room of the new Tula cancer center, opened at the end of 2023 and also equipped with MVS solutions.
«Yakut Republican Cancer Center» — is a unique medical facility with a total area of more than 25000 sq. m. The new Cancer Center will house consulting and diagnostic departments, a polyclinic, and a 180-bed hospital.
Thanks to modern equipment, all types of diagnostics and treatment of malignant tumors will be performed in the center. It is also planned to double the number of operations performed — from 2 to 4 thousand per year.
In address to the President, Tatyana Ivanovna Nikolaeva said that the hospital of the new cancer center is equipped with modern integrated operating rooms, which are developed by a domestic manufacturer.
The areas of surgical treatment in the new hospital will be: oncogynecology, coloproctology, thoracic surgery, urology, abdominal surgery, surgery of head and neck tumors, breast surgery. The main vector will be aimed at minimally invasive high-tech surgical interventions. To do this, the center has a full range of modern surgical equipment: a surgical microscope, an angiograph in a hybrid operating room, the most modern video endoscopic systems with 3D and 4K resolution.
