The Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg is traditionally the organizer of the joint stand at the leading international exhibition of the medical industry MEDICA-2019, which takes place from November 18 to 21, 2019 at the Messe Duesseldorf exhibition complex. The stand is located in the most visited pavilion, which houses national expositions (Pavilion 15, stand A10).
The medical industry is one of the fundamental sectors of the Russian economy, in particular, St. Petersburg. The development of the industry on the basis of research institutes has enabled the growth of high-tech and socially oriented enterprises, whose field of activity contributes to the emergence of high-tech, scientific and educational competencies in St. Petersburg.
The business program of the exposition started with the opening ceremony of the St. Petersburg stand on November 18 at 10.30 am.
The opening of the stand took place under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Committee Vadim Khrabrov. It was attended by Thomas Stenzel, Director of Messe Dusseldorf Moscow LLC, Aaron Reschke, Head of the Center for Promoting Economic Cooperation between Germany and Russia at the Dusseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Andrey Olegovich Sobolev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Also, as part of the exposition, a presentation “Industrial and innovative potential of St. Petersburg: prospects for Russian-German cooperation” will be held in the format of a business breakfast, which will be attended by representatives of the German business community, participating companies and a representative of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg.
The meeting will discuss the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. The representative of the Committee will talk about the prospects for the development of the medical industry in St. Petersburg, as well as about the possibilities of localization of foreign industries that the city offers to investors. Favorable conditions are provided by the special economic zone of St. Petersburg. The openness of the region to foreign economic relations, which will affect the growth of economic indicators, is an important factor in attracting foreign investors.
During the entire period of the exhibition, presentations of the participants of the exposition will be held at the St. Petersburg stand. Enterprises of the medical industry of the city will present samples of their products, as well as advanced developments and the latest scientific achievements.
Among the participants of the exhibition: Medmarin LLC with a full-scale sample of the IRIS medical media heater and the CROCUS patient heating system, with a temperature regulator for newborns; the developer company Cardiopatrul LLC will present an autonomous health monitoring system; representatives of Axioma LLC will talk about the production of devices for minimally invasive surgery. The companies will demonstrate their products: LLC “Medprom” — anesthetic breathing apparatus designed for emergency medical care; CJSC “ELTECH-Med” – portable technical means of X—ray diagnostics; Association of Medicine and Analytics LLC — its own developments of accurate diagnostics in the field of gastroenterology. Provita LLC and the Alcor-bio group of companies will talk about their production of oxygen and reagents for laboratory diagnostics. Diakont JSC is ready to share its experience in the production of a wide range of medical equipment. Medical Visual Systems creates its own solutions based on cloud technologies and has a solid technological foundation for product development. Today, the main activity of the company is the creation of telemedicine technology tools. The Domain company has been a Russian manufacturer of medical plastic and non-woven consumables since 2013.
