Medical Visual Systems has equipped the operating unit of the Volgograd Oncological Dispensary with the latest MVS VEGA telemedicine complexes
VOCOD is the largest specialized medical facility in the region. The institution is actively developing and expanding, a new building of the diagnostic treatment and consulting center is being built, and a new operating unit was opened in the existing hospital in October 2020.
The new operating unit is located on the 9th floor of the hospital building and is already considered one of the most innovative in Russia. In total, there are 6 operating rooms on the floor, created according to modern standards of clean rooms. Medical Visual Systems has delivered and configured MVS VEGA telemedicine systems in 2 operating rooms.
At the moment, integrated operating rooms have been created in two operating units. The reconstruction, based on the principle of "clean rooms", started this winter. In a few months, the premises with a total area of 1200 square meters have been completely transformed. A single zone has been formed in the oncological dispensary, which includes six operating rooms (each with its own work profile), as well as an anesthesiology and intensive care unit. 330 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the Volgograd Region for the renovation and re-equipment of the facility. The principal task of the innovative device of the operating unit is the prevention of infections related to medical activities. To do this, a new air circulation and air conditioning system has been installed here, which eliminates its contact with the environment. A cantilever arrangement of all surgical and intensive care equipment has also been introduced here. We have implemented the idea of touch control of almost any technical option on the principle of a "smart home" to the maximum.
The new equipment can not only transmit information within the walls of a medical institution, which eliminates unnecessary visits to the operating room. The data is also available for exchange with federal centers, and for educational purposes they can be broadcast to a conference room, which greatly simplifies the educational process for students, residents, and young doctors.
Let’s add that about 10 thousand operations are performed annually in the oncological dispensary, of which 40-45% are endoscopic, and about 1.5 thousand surgical interventions are high–tech.
