The National Technology Initiative is a long–term program to ensure conditions for Russia’s technological leadership by 2035.
NTI focuses on those markets where it is possible to create industries of a new technological order that are significant from the point of view of ensuring national security and a high standard of living for citizens. Within the framework of the NTI, 8 “roadmaps” were approved, including the HealthNet direction, which includes information technologies in medicine, medical genetics, biomedicine, sports and health, preventive medicine, and healthy longevity.
The main goal of the HealthNet direction is to “coordinate the actions of executive authorities, development institutions, public and private companies, public organizations aimed at increasing the life expectancy and quality of life of citizens, ensuring leadership and competition of Russian companies in the global healthcare market,” the ideologists of the program say.
