For 2 days, St. Petersburg became the epicenter of scientific and practical activities and brought together more than 600 urologist surgeons from all over the country. 30 online broadcasts of high-tech operations in 3D format were conducted in the conference hall of the Citytel Hotel from the operating rooms of the St. Luke Clinical Hospital.
More than 200 leading urologists of the country spoke in the scientific part of the program. Many of them demonstrated their surgical skills in the operating rooms of the City Center for Endoscopic Urology and New Technologies. A robot-assisted neuropreserving prostatectomy was performed on the newest da Vinci Xi under the direction of Dmitry Yuryevich Pushkar, chief urologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
To demonstrate to the conference participants all the possibilities of a Smart Operating Room, Medical Visual Systems company created a unique stand with an area of 70 sq. m. in the lobby of the hotel. The design of the stand is represented by cleanroom modules equipped with modern operating rooms, an integrated complex of telemedicine systems, an engineering network management center and medical equipment.
An illustration was presented in a separate area of the stand, clearly showing how, with the help of MVS solutions, the operating unit is integrated into a single information space of the hospital and the efficiency of work processes is increased.
The MVS team sees high value and is ready to support conferences of this format for the development of Russian high-tech surgery.
The conference was organized by the Government of St. Petersburg, the St. Petersburg Health Committee, the Kirov Military Medical Academy, the St. Petersburg Scientific Society of Urologists, the City Center for Endoscopic Urology and New Technologies, etc. During the opening ceremony, welcoming words were delivered by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Dmitrievich Beglov.
