On December 24, 2022, the official opening of the Emergency Medical Care Center took place on the basis of the St. Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Emergency Medicine named after I. I. Janelidze. The solemn ceremony was attended by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the city Alexander Belsky.

The new four-storey building with a total area of 24 thousand square meters is capable of receiving up to 350 patients per day and is connected by a two-storey passage with the existing complex of buildings of the Institute of Emergency Medicine. If necessary, the new building will be able to transform into an infectious diseases hospital: it will be cut off from the main building of the clinic and work as a closed hospital.
The new building includes a high-tech operating unit equipped with MVS solutions:
- 7 Smart operating rooms of different profiles, in which doctors can control medical equipment, video management, two-way video communication with the operating room from anywhere in the world, video recording of operations.
- Information boards in the clean corridor of the operating unit with monitoring of the operating day, including loading the operating systems.
- Monitors in front of the operating rooms with broadcast of the operation and two-way video communication with the operating room.
- MVS Hospital Platform software to support and optimize operating unit workflows.
- A single video archive of operations.
In the neurosurgical operating room, a neurosurgical operating microscope is integrated as one of the video sources: the image is broadcast and recorded in the video archive of operations.
