MVS Company took part in the first National Forum “AI — the future today”
On June 4, the first National Forum "AI - the Future today" was held in St. Petersburg. MVS, as a developer of a platform for the introduction of digital services into the operating room, including those based on AI, took an active part in the section "Artificial Intelligence in medicine".
MVS Medical Advisor, Mikhail Yuryevich Kaputin, outlined the urgency of creating an effective data collection infrastructure for surgical video datasets from operating rooms. To date, such datasets are already being formed in hospitals where MVS equipment and software are installed, structured video archives of operations are being created, surgical BigData is being accumulated for subsequent markup and transfer to developers of AI algorithms.
Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Zavatsky, Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Alexander Hospital, shared his experience in creating a surgical video dataset using the MVS digital platform. To scale up the process of collecting video data, a program was proposed for the Renovation of the operating rooms of the old fund, which will allow, without rebuilding the operating rooms, to provide video recording of operations, to form surgical video archives.
