The opening of the cancer center will combine all available capacities and concentrate them in one place. Modern equipment will allow us to bring diagnostics and treatment in the region to a higher level. Residents of the region will be able to receive all types of oncological care with modern equipment and in comfortable conditions without leaving the region.
The oncological dispensary will consist of 4 blocks:
- a consultative and diagnostic center with a polyclinic for 400 people per shift;
- hospitals with departments of palliative care, oncohematology and oncogynecology, surgery and urology, breast and antitumor drug therapy with 340 beds;
- an operating unit with an intensive care unit;
- laboratories.
The oncological center will perform complex operations to remove tumors of the head and neck, breast, female reproductive system, as well as bone marrow transplantation. In addition, the technology of dilution of chemotherapeutic drugs using a compounder will be used, which will reduce the preparation time of the drug and accelerate the start of treatment. This will be a large-scale innovative project for the centralized automatic dilution of chemotherapeutic drugs in the Russian Federation.
The new high-tech surgical unit of the oncological dispensary is equipped with MVS solutions and includes 9 operating rooms: 7 general-purpose, hybrid angiographic and specialized for head and neck operations.
