Video archive: protection for doctor and patient

The distinctive features of the archive are:

  • high video quality (up to 4K, depends on the video source);
  • recording from multiple sources and their synchronization (for example, an endoscope and a overview camera). You can get complete information about the operation by comparing the data from the patient’s monitor and the video from the endoscope, the ability to mark the video during the operation. For example, doctors highlight the moment when a napkin or needle is inserted into the wound. The archive is a great help for teaching medical students – they can sort out real cases without being present in the operating room.
  • The video archive is one of the services of the Hospital Platform — it is specialized software developed by MVS and supplied with all MVS VEGA complexes.
  • No special knowledge or skills are required to create video recordings of operations and upload them to the archive. This can be done by a doctor or nurse in a couple of clicks.

Igor Nikolaevich Orlov, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, spoke about working with the video archive at the St. Luke Clinical Hospital.
